Marie (Devaki) - Practicing most of her life, Devaki has been a Stillpoint Yoga Teacher and Buddhist Practitioner for over twenty years. She is from Ottawa, Canada.
Marie's approach is gentle and supportive. Each student is encouraged to work where they are at. "It doesn't matter if you can touch your toes" says Marie, "Just do the best pose for you today, be in the moment and breathe."
A perfect pose does not have to look perfect. A perfect pose is one where you are paying attention, your mind is not wandering, you are doing your best, breathing, focusing inwards, and, most importantly where you are not straining or causing yourself pain. It doesn't matter what it looks like, it matters what it FEELS like.
A Registered Social Worker, Marie will be available to participants who wish to have a private session whether it be yoga related or more personal issues.
Bernie (Dharma) - has great energy and knows how to motivate students to be there best. In addition to being a Sivananda Yoga Teacher, Dharma is involved in the Irest program - involving the ancient tradition of Yoga Nidra. His classes are lively and lots of fun.
Bernie will be available for private consultations whether it be yoga alignment or a private Yoga Nidra Class.
